Turn What Isn’t Working Into Your Next Move

Featured Article

“Small adjustments create big transformations. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep moving forward.”

There comes a point when persistence needs to look a little different.

We often hear that success means refusing to quit and there is truth in that. But refusing to quit does not mean refusing to change.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is recognize that something isn’t working the way we expected, learn from it, make an adjustment, and keep moving forward.

That isn’t failure.

That’s growth.

Think about the things you’ve changed over the years. Your approach to business. The way you market. Your health habits. Your priorities. Even the way you respond when life throws something unexpected into your path.

Chances are, some of your biggest improvements started with the realization:

“This isn’t working. I need to do something differently.”

NOTICE WHAT ISN’T WORKING

It can be tempting to keep doing something simply because we’ve already invested time, energy, or money into it.

But yesterday’s investment shouldn’t determine tomorrow’s decision.

Look at the results.

Are your actions moving you toward the goal you originally set?

If they are, keep building.

If they aren’t, it may be time to adjust.

That applies to marketing just as much as it applies to health, mindset, finances, relationships, and personal goals.

ADJUST DON’T AUTOMATICALLY ABANDON

This is where people sometimes make the opposite mistake.

Discovering that one part of a plan isn’t working does not necessarily mean the entire plan is bad.

Keep what works.

Improve what can be improved.

Replace what no longer serves the goal.

And be willing to experiment with something new.

Small adjustments can create surprisingly big transformations over time.

MOVE FORWARD WITH WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED

Every experience gives us information.

Something that didn’t produce the result you expected still taught you something.

Use it.

Progress isn’t about getting every decision right the first time. It’s about continuing to learn, adjust, and move forward.

Sometimes transformation arrives through one enormous decision.

More often, it happens through dozens of smaller ones.

One different choice.

One improved habit.

One new marketing approach.

One decision to stop pouring energy into something that isn’t producing results.

Then another.

And another.

Before long, those small adjustments have taken you somewhere entirely different.

HitSurfer

This week’s Featured Resource is Hit Surfer a standalone shared advertising co-op owned by Ken Locatelli Sr. and Douglas Roehrig. I’ve known Ken and Doug for many years, long before I became a traffic exchange owner myself. We’ve watched this industry grow and change over the years while growing right along with it, and it’s pretty amazing sometimes to look back and remember where we all started.

HitSurfer gives marketers another way to put their promotions in front of people through a shared advertising system. Members can add Co-op Ads, banners, square banners and text ads, assign available Co-op Ad Views, and promote their personal HitSurfer co-op link in approved advertising locations. Valid activity can generate additional Co-op Ad Views that help keep their advertising circulating through the shared rotation.

What I particularly appreciate is that HitSurfer isn’t pretending advertising automatically equals results. Advertising creates exposure; what happens after someone sees your promotion depends on your offer, presentation, follow-up and many other factors.

Ken and Douglas also operate WeJustSurf.com and GoldRushTraffic.com, bringing a great deal of experience and knowledge to the traffic exchange and online advertising community.

If you’re looking for another way to diversify your advertising instead of depending entirely on one source of traffic, HitSurfer is worth exploring.

KYTM Traffic Tip:

Don’t Put All Your Traffic in One Basket

One of the easiest marketing traps to fall into is finding something that works and then relying on it almost exclusively.

Instead, build a traffic mix.

Use traffic exchanges. Test co-op advertising. Rotate banners. Run text ads. Use splash and lead-capture pages. Share content. Build your own follow-up list.

Then watch your results.

The goal isn’t to advertise everywhere just for the sake of being everywhere. The goal is to discover which combinations consistently put your message in front of the right people.

And remember this week’s theme:

If something isn’t producing the results you want, don’t immediately throw away your entire marketing strategy.

Change one piece.

Test again.

Track what happens.

Small adjustments can make a big difference.

This Week’s Opportunity:

GreatLife Worldwide

There has been a lot happening at GreatLife Worldwide, making it a good time to take another look if you haven’t visited recently.

GreatLife has been rolling out its updated business systems and compensation approach while continuing to offer its health and wellness product line.

Current enrollment is advertised as free with no signup fee, and GreatLife promotes nutritional products, product savings, its Global Savings Club, VIP benefits and automated marketing/recruiting resources.

That flexibility is important because not everybody comes to a wellness company for the same reason.

Some people are primarily interested in products and personal wellness.

Others are interested in building a business and earning commissions.

And some begin as customers and later decide they want to explore the business opportunity.

On a personal level, GreatLife has become much more than a business opportunity for me. I’ve been using the products for the past three years, and they have made a meaningful difference in my quality of life. That personal experience is a big part of why I continue to share GreatLife with others. I’m not simply recommending products; I’m sharing something that has genuinely made a positive difference in my own life.

If you looked at GreatLife previously, don’t assume what you saw then represents what is available today. With the changes that have been taking place, this may be a good time to look again and decide whether any part of the new GreatLife fits your goals.

Final Thoughts

Transformation doesn’t require us to pretend every decision we’ve made was the right one.

It requires us to be willing to learn.

Sometimes we discover a better tool.

Sometimes a company or opportunity changes and becomes worth looking at again.

Sometimes something we thought would work doesn’t.

And sometimes the smartest decision is to keep the reliable foundation we’ve already built while adding something new alongside it.

That’s not standing still.

That’s making an informed adjustment.

As you move through this week, look at one area of your life or business where the results aren’t quite what you want.

Don’t ask yourself, “Did I fail?”

Ask:

“What did I learn — and what is my next move?”

Then make one small adjustment.

Because small adjustments, repeated with purpose, really can create big transformations.

Stay Positive. Keep Growing. Make an Impact.
